Horror Show - The Naked Emperror

the naked emperror
Shepard Smith and Geraldo Rivera were livid about the situation in NOLA as they appeared on H&C. When Hannity tried his usual spin job and said 'let's get this in perspective,' Smith chopped him off at the knees and started yelling at him saying, 'This is perspective!' It was shocking.

Crooks and Liars

The real crisis has finally struck—the only kind George Bush is able to recognize—a political crisis. So now he's responding. With Potemkin Village photo ops, a few troops, and a show of compassionate strength. He realized it was time to stop reading My Pet Goat.

The Naked Emperror

“We had arrangements to airlift food by helicopter to these folks, and now the food is sitting in trucks because they won’t let helicopters fly,” O’Shea said Friday afternoon.

Bush visit directly responsible for halting food delivery.

Vital measures to protect New Orleans from "catastrophic" hurricane damage were scrapped by the Bush administration to pay for its wars on terror and in Iraq, despite official warnings of impending disaster.

Funding for flood prevention was slashed by 80 per cent, work on strengthening levees to protect the city was stopped for the first time in 37 years, and planning for housing stranded citizens and evacuating refugees from the Superdome were crippled. Yet the administration had been warned repeatedly of the dangers by its own officials.

In early 2001, at the start of Mr Bush's presidency, his Government's Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) warned that a hurricane hitting New Orleans would be the deadliest of the three most likely catastrophes facing America; the others were a massive San Francisco earthquake and, prophetically, a terrorist attack on New York.

Warnings went ignored as Bush slashed flood defence budget to pay for wars

The reality is these refugees in New Orleans right now were already poor, so that tells you how much the government cared about them BEFORE this disaster. Why would you expect the government to all of a sudden, now, prioritize the group they did not care about before, to the tune of inadequate health care, inadequate and expensive housing, etc.? So this is not a shock, I guess, that the American government is apparently going to let poor black Americans die for no apparent reason, right on the nightly news.

Genocide in New Orleans

In October 2004, National Georgraphic ran an article that, in view of recent events, can only be called phenomenally prophetic. It predicted an August hurricane hitting New Orleans. It predicted thousands drowning, a million people evacuating the city, with the car-less, the homeless, the aged and the infirm left behind. “The worst natural disaster in the history of the United States,” the article said. Exactly what has happened.
